Reflexology is a simple and risk-free technique that anyone can apply
Reflexology is a therapy that applies gentle pressure to ‘reflex points’ on our feet, which in turn activates a relaxation and/or healing response in a corresponding organ, gland or system of our body. The body is stimulated via the nerve endings in the feet (and face, hands or ears) to achieve good health and healing.
Yep, it is. Reflexology is so safe that babies right through to the elderly can benefit.
Reflexology is completely non-invasive, and it can be used alongside any other standard healthcare protocol. It can help people with everyday health concerns to more complex conditions. Treatment wouldn’t be suitable if you’re in the first trimester of pregnancy, have a slipped disk, a serious heart condition, a medical oedema, a fever or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It’s not suitable on the feet and legs if you have a contagious or infectious disease, broken bones, gout, an open wound or have recently had an operation. Do not work over varicose veins, localised swelling or inflammation, bruising and bunions.
You’ll want half an hour to yourself without distractions. Routines stick better when we have a set time of day or night.
To change your sleeping habits, I advise setting aside up to ten minutes a day to complete the questionnaire. This consistency will allow you to keep track of your sleep patterns and identify if any changes are needed. For the reflexology videos, I recommend every day for the best results but if this isn’t possible, then at least once a week is acceptable too. The course isn’t time bound, so you can always revisit it later.
Once you join the course, you’ll have access to a private community, where you can connect with other like-minded people on their wellness journey and ask questions. This is a great place to learn from one another and make new friends. I’ll also be in the group to support you and answer any questions that you may have.
As reflexologists, we do not prescribe, diagnose or cure. But we can help the stress around almost all situations.
This is a self-led course to help you learn a new skill to relax and feel the therapeutic effects of reflexology. You will not be a qualified reflexologist after this course or be insured to work on others.
